Game of Thrones season 6 episode 6: It looks like we will finally get the Tower of Joy reveal: Independent UK

Young Ned Stark returns in Game of Thrones season 6 on Sunday night, and you know what that (probably) means *POTENTIAL SPOILERS AHEAD*.

Actor Robert Aramayo is confirmed to appear in episode 6 ‘Blood of my Blood’ on IMDb, while a recent hometown hero story on him in the Hull Daily Mail confirmed: ‘He will appear again briefly in episode six before another significant showing in episode ten.’

Given the Tower of Joy scene was cut infuriatingly short in episode 3, it stands to reason that the next time we see Young Ned he will actually be inside the tower.

I probably don’t have to tell you how important this is, and how it will probably shape the final season of the show (though there’s an explainer along with secondary theories on it here if you need them).

Fingers crossed episode 6 sees Bran witness his father learning Jon Snow’s true parentage and making his promise to Lyanna, and the episode 10 appearance is related to something else, or comes as Bran manages to get the news to Jon of his true identity.

However, given how brief a look at the Tower of Joy we got in episode 3, it’s possible the show will again cut the flashback off early. This could be down to Bran struggling to control his visions without the assistance of the Three-Eyed Raven, or simply because he is interrupted by pursuing White Walkers.

The trailer for the episode indeed confirms that, despite Hodor’s sacrifice, Bran and Meera won’t be home free yet, and when matched with the original season 6 trailer, it suggests that it is Bran’s uncle Benjen Stark, who we last saw guiding Jon Snow to the Wall seasons ago, coming to their rescue.

Neither the trailer nor the episode synopsis ('An old foe comes back into the picture. Gilly meets Sam’s family. Arya faces a difficult choice. Jaime faces off against the High Sparrow') references the Tower of Joy, but HBO nearly always omits the episodes' biggest moments from these.

Bran’s subplot has become incredibly complicated this season, with the time-travelling elements adding weight to several popular fan theories.

Paul Wesley revealed hint about The Vampire Diaries Season 8

We’ve got an extended summer season forward without any new instances of The Vampire Diaries, but Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley are assisting us get through it.
The two dished some spoilers about Season 8 at the CW Upfronts, and also exposed just what they’ll be up to during the break, so appreciate these teases.
“I appreciate the powerful of the two bros being the antithesis of one another,” John said when inquired about Damon Salvatore’s go back to the down part and Stefan Salvatore’s pursuit to avoid wasting the day.

‘Game of Thrones’ Producers on Heartbreaking Hodor Twist (SPOILERS)

“Game of Thrones” finally explained the origin of Hodor’s name in the May 23 episode — unfortunately, that reveal also resulted in one of the show’s most heartbreaking scenes to date, as it became clear that Bran Stark was inadvertently responsible for damaging the stableboy’s mind during his visit to the past.

Even worse, thanks to Bran’s decision to try testing out his greenseer powers without the Three-Eyed Raven’s supervision, both the Raven and Hodor ended up dead (or on the verge of it, in Hodor’s case) as the Night King and his army of Wights converged on Bran’s hiding place and were finally able to cross the magical barriers that previously kept them out, attacking Bran and his allies in full force.

“The cave is a safe place — it’s like if you’re playing tag and your hand’s on the wall, you’re safe from whoever’s ‘It.’ And ‘It’ is the Night King, and he can’t access them as long as they’re in there because of the magic that’s protecting this cave,” executive producer David Benioff explains in a behind-the-scenes video. “But Bran makes a mistake. He’s not the Three-Eyed Raven yet — he doesn’t have control over these visions in the way that the Three-Eyed Raven does. For the first time someone actually sees him in the vision, and that’s the Night King, which is part of the tragic mistake here; if the Three-Eyed Raven had been with him, things would’ve ended much differently. As soon as the Three-Eyed Raven realizes that there is no more time, he’s got to try and upload all this knowledge into Bran.”

“This is happening much, much more rapidly than he thought it was going to happen,” EP Dan Weiss adds of Bran’s stressful transition. “He doesn’t really know what it all means, he doesn’t know what to make of it all, because it’s happening under duress.”

The producers admit that author George R. R. Martin revealed the origin of Hodor’s name to them early on in the adaptation process (meaning that we’re likely to see Hodor’s fate play out the same way in the upcoming fifth book in Martin’s series, “The Winds of Winter”), and that it was just as heartbreaking to them as it was to fans on Sunday night.

“We had this meeting with George Martin where we were trying to get as much information as possible out of him, and probably the most shocking revelation he had for us was when he told us the origin of Hodor, how that name came about,” Benioff recalls. “I just remember Dan and I looking at each other when he said that being like ‘holy s–t.'”

“It was just one of the saddest and most affecting things, even sitting in a hotel room and having someone tell you this was going to happen in the abstract in some way, and that ‘Hold the door’ was the origin of the name Hodor,” Weiss says. “We just thought that was a really, really heartbreaking idea.”

Arrow & The Flash Season Finale Trailers Promise Two Big Showdowns

It is that time of year when TV shows across the big broadcast networks bring their seasons to a close. Last week, The CW saw season 1 of its DC Comics time-travel team-up series Legends of Tomorrow wrap up with the team facing off against immortal villain Vandal Savage for the last time (for now, anyway). This week, the network will see two more of its comic book-based series air finales, as Arrow season 4 and The Flash season 2 deliver a final one-two superhero punch on Tuesday and Wednesday night before starting things up again in the fall.

Both series have put their heroes through the ringer this season, and the finales promise huge climaxes to bring the respective storylines to a close. In anticipation of the big season-enders, The CW has seen fit to release a pair of extended trailers, giving audiences a bigger-than-usual glimpse at what is set to unfold in Star and Central City, as the Emerald Archer and the Scarlet Speedster face-off against season-long nemeses who just so happen to have world-ending plans up their sleeves. Both trailers are focused on reminding audiences of what’s at stake, and how the various Big Bads plan to enact their evil schemes.

Arrow has been trying to bring a ray of light into the darkness that seems forever cast upon Star City – especially this time of year, when the city is wracked with manmade earthquakes, or is stormed by evil armies hell bent on tearing the city to pieces – by showing Oliver choose to take on his foe in the light of day, without the aid of his trusty bow and arrow. So far, the battle against Damien Darhk and HIVE has proven to be fairly treacherous. Not only did it pull Oliver from his blissful retirement in the burbs, but it also resulted in Felicity’s temporary paralysis and played a small but significant role in the dissolution of their romantic relationship. Furthermore, Team Arrow lost one of its own, as Laurel Lance fell in battle with Darhk, and died a short time later.

Hard as it may be to believe, that’s not the worst of it. As the above trailer demonstrates, Darhk’s serious about raining down nuclear terror on the world and, despite the best efforts of Felicity and her computer-hacking father, Damien apparently has the means of doing it. What the trailer also shows is that Oliver is really good at rallying people to his cause – whether he’s just plain old former-billionaire playboy Oliver Queen or the Green Arrow – as it appears the former mayoral candidate still has some pull with the people of Star City.

This sets up a familiar scene wherein two groups run headlong into one another on the streets, in what is presumably the climactic battle of the season. How all of this addresses Damien Darhk’s now godlike powers and the question of why he would bother engaging Oliver in hand-to-hand combat when one presumes he could just fling him around like a ragdoll is reason enough to tune in and see how Arrow brings season 4 to a close.

A hop, skip, and a jump down the road from Star City, Barry Allen is facing his toughest challenge yet, as season 2 villain Zoom has challenged the Flash to a race. After last week’s episode featured the death of a major character – Barry finds himself stuck between wanting revenge for his fallen loved one and needing to be a hero. As the trailer lays out Zoom’s plan, it becomes clear the murderous speedster’s schoolyard challenge to his Earth-1 adversary has greater implications than to see who is the fastest man alive. Those implications have to do with the safety of the multiverse, as Zoom wants to goad Barry into using his powers to aid in the destruction of various planets across dimensions.

While both series have the world (or worlds) at stake in their respective finales, The Flash is still riding the fallout of what happened in ‘Invincible,’ making ‘The Race of His Life’ into more than just another showdown with a cruel villain. The emotional significance of Barry’s loss will certainly play into how the Flash ultimately deals with Zoom, as the series looks to end things on a similar narrative high note as it did with season 1.

With each show facing a potential world-ending scenario, it will be interesting to see how the they stack up against one another, and whether or not the events in Arrow are mentioned in The Flash or vice versa. Either way, from the look of things, The CW has a big week of finales ahead of it.

'Better Call Saul' season 3 spoilers: maybe Season 3 show Soul's Life after Breaking Bad

Although "Better Call Saul" is hinged on its parent series "Breaking Bad," co-creators Vince Gilligan and Peter Gould believe that there's more to Saul Goodman (Bob Odenkirk) than what has been established.

During the Vulture Festival, the duo was asked about the prospect of telling new stories behind Saul Goodman's dark inevitable future in "Breaking Bad."

Gould believes that while there's the challenge of following the continuity established by "Breaking Bad," Saul Goodman's yarn could be further spun in "Better Call Saul" season 3.

"We see 'Gene' in Omaha, Nebraska, and to me that hints that maybe there's more to the story after Breaking Bad, so we'll see," Gould teased via Den of Geek, adding "I don't think anything is predetermined."

Gene was the new name Saul gave to himself when he started a new life in Omaha, Nebraska. There, he was working the counter at a shopping mall. From what Gould has said, "Better Call Saul" might show what happens after this.

"Better Call Saul" is headed for season 3. So far, there's no sign of the show veering away from "Breaking Bad." In fact, the new season will further delve into the events that led to Saul becoming who he is in the parent series.

Gus Fring (Giancarlo Esposito) from "Breaking Bad" is expected to play a major part in "Better Call Saul" season 3. However, he won't appear on the get-go, but he has already been established in the "Better Call Saul" universe. His actions will definitely affect Saul directly or indirectly. It is expected that the drug lord and restaurateur will show his face towards the end of "Better Call Saul" season 3.

There are also rumors that Aaron Paul will also reprise his iconic "Breaking Bad" role Jesse Pinkman at some point in "Better Call Saul." The actor has already expressed his interest, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

"Better Call Saul" season 3 is expected to premiere early next year.

'American Horror Story' season 6 spoilers: New season predicted as claustrophobic: ECUMENICAL NEWS

well the news site: ECUMENICAL NEWS share some news spoilers about season 6 of American Horror story

FX's "American Horror Story" is yet to return but the rumor mills are busy giving hints as to what fans might expect in the sixth season. The latest speculation describes the next season as being claustrophobic. Furthermore, it is rumored that the show might air two seasons this year.

In an interview with The Wrap, Finn Wittrock, who starred in previous seasons "Freak Show" and "Hotel," gave his own prediction on what the next season will be like and described it as "a little tighter" with "a smaller cast."

Read More About : Truth Behind David Beckham’s Hair Transplant Rumors

"I have heard it is going to be a little tighter — there were so many story lines in the last one and it was so big and epic, I have a feeling it might be a little more claustrophobic. A smaller cast," he said in the interview.

His statement also fueled speculations that the actor was speaking metaphorically about the storyline. They say that instead of the usual complicated and scattered storylines which often leave viewers confused, the storylines will be lesser and more focused. This will allow fans to pay more attention and enjoy the stories, instead of spending more time guessing what will happen and how each character is intertwined together.

Aside from this, Wittrock also revealed that he is not officially part of season 6 yet, although he has expressed interest in doing some episodes for the show again. He added that everything is not finalized yet, reasoning that it could be the strategy of the show to keep everyone in the dark so that no spoilers will be revealed.

He cited that the same situation happened last year when he was cast in one of the episodes, saying he didn't know about it only until a few months before shooting began.

Aside from this, there is another speculation that the creators of the show are thinking of delivering two seasons this year instead of one. However, they remain to be rumors as there are no official announcements yet.

‘THE ORIGINALS’ SEASON 4 IS MARCEL WILL BE MAIN VILLAIN ?

Season 3 of The CW’s “The Originals” ended with a massive twist that changed the game forever. After the events of the finale that aired on Friday night, has the supernatural drama found its Season 4’s big baddie?

Michael Narducci, the executive producer of “The Vampire Diaries” spin-off, talked to TV Line about the plans currently being laid out for Season 4. He revealed that Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis) will be more powerful than ever, but it will not be accurate to brand him as a villain just yet.

To recap, the season 3 finale saw the vampire emerging as an undead to the Mikaelson and then wiping out every single member of the Strix. Marcel also gave Elijah (Daniel) and Kol (Nathan Parsons) a “one-of -a-kind kiss.” Narducci believes that his action, after all the betrayal, is justified.

” Marcel is furious that Davina was so callously put to the side in favor of ‘Always and Forever,’ and when he confronted the Mikaelsons about it, they killed him. And if he hadn’t taken that serum, he’d just be dead, so he has a perfectly valid point,” he said.

The executive producer also added that Marcel will find himself as the most powerful creature in the land, but things will not be easy for him in Season 4. He still has to learn to live with the consequences of what he has done.

Narducci comments that there are a lot of “interesting things” to play around with in the future of the show. But the question is, “Is this family permanently destroyed, and is Marcel going to be their enemy forever?”

As for “The Originals” Season 4 return date, iBTimes reported that the show will not return this fall after failing to post better ratings. Instead, the vampire teen drama will go back on air next year with a mid-season premiere.

Has HBO Quietly Canceled ‘True Detective’?

A current HBO GO advertisement promotes original programming both past and present, utilizing a unique vocabulary for each that may give viewers a clue to ‘True Detective’s’ future on the network.

A quick Google of True Detective shows that there seems to be a never ending supply of rumors regarding the once celebrated then almost universally panned HBO series. But keen viewers of HBO GO’s pre-show advertising may have picked up on a subtle hint regarding the future of the show at the network.

Putting aside for a moment the fact that showing commercials before programming on a pay-to-view service is insane, the HBO GO ad in questions consists of a clip show featuring various original series and feature films the network has available. Movies such as San Andreas, Mad Max: Fury Road, and Jurassic World pass by without commentary.

However, whenever an HBO Original Series is previewed, it’s accompanied by the phrase “Every Episode.” You may think that there is nothing particularly exciting about that and you’re right – although I think being generally excited about Game of Thrones and Silicon Valley is a healthy and intelligent way to go about your day.

The key here, however, is that all of these shows featured in our handy little illustration above are still on the air and still airing new episodes. I believe there may be more than one promo and that another may feature other popular HBO shows such as Last Week Tonight and Girls, but the wording remains the same, “Every Episode.”

Yet when HBO spotlights one of its former glories we find a different headline cozying up over the title, “The Complete Series.” Boardwalk Empire, Rome and Deadwood are all dead and gone (though those wonderful, hopeful Deadwood movie rumors keep gloriously circulating) and so their bits of the promo are presented in a different way to the casual viewer.

Bringing us to the main point. When HBO shows True Detective it doesn’t carry the “This show is still alive!” bit of advertising accentuation as the others with “Every Episode.” Instead, the once acclaimed series carries the mournful “Let it go you poor damned fans” banner of “The Complete Series.”

Also See : How To Fix Your Patchy Beard

Is this jumping the gun? Is this looking too deeply into what may just amount to some poor copywriting from HBO’s advertising department? Not necessarily. Consider that the hand of content creation commonly has no idea what the hand of advertising is up to. A Rey action figure spoiled plot points from The Force Awakens before the film’s release. Also this thing happens with comic book companies all the time.

While it’s certainly possible that HBO meant for the word “Series” to be read in the British colloquial meaning (where they refer to each season of a show as a “series”) it is doubtful that there are enough anglophiles in positions of power at the network to make such a bold move. Even taking into account that the show is an anthology show, whereby it could be assumed that the network meant each “season” is a complete “series” requires a sizable leap of disbelief. That would really be asking the casual viewer to do a lot of mental math to piece that one together. Occam’s razor says that “The Complete Series” is the tag for shows that have finished their productions and “Every Episode” belongs to those with a future.

If it’s true that HBO has already dropped the axe on True Detective then what are they waiting for? Maybe the network’s stock gets a bump every time a new batch of True Detective rumors hit the web. Maybe they’ve made their decision but are waiting for the right moment to break the “bad” news, wherein they could buffer it with good news about, let’s hope against hope, the return of Deadwood?

Game of Thrones Appearance of New Red Woman may led to visiting Tyrion : Newsrepublica

Last summer season an try out record for year six of Game of Thrones released, exposing a new Red Priestess known as Kinvara would be visiting Tyrion and Varys in Meeren. Centered on earlier previews for this year of Game of Thrones and the review for the next display, it seems the leaking were in reality appropriate. “Knowledge has created you highly effective, but there’s still so much you don’t know,” Kinvara says to Tyrion and Varys in the review.
In the review Kinvara, performed by Ania Bukstein, is dressed in a pendant that looks quite identical to the one that Melisandre, the OG Red Lady, always would wear. We now know that Melisandre’s pendant isn’t just for design but actually conceals her real age, placing everyone’s shape abilities to pity. It’s possible then that Kinvara is just as old, if not mature, than Melisandre so she may very well know factors that Tyrion and Varys don’t.

American Horror Story season 6 is “a little tighter” and “more claustrophobic” – Finn Wittrock

“Freakshow” and “Hotel” actor has not yet been confirmed for the upcoming season of FX anthology series “American Horror Story” star Finn Wittrock predicts that the sixth season of the hit FX show will be “a little tighter” and “more claustrophobic,” although he hasn’t yet confirmed whether he will be a part of the mayhem.

“There’s a little film stuff happening so it might be tough schedule wise, but yeah, I definitely want to do it,” Wittrock told TheWrap, regarding wanting to return for the FX show’s sixth season. “I have heard it is going to be a little tighter — there were so many story lines in the last one and it was so big and epic, I have a feeling it might be a little more claustrophobic.

While he is not officially cast yet, Wittrock has talked to the show creators about it, he said. The actor, who was most recently seen in “The Big Short,” starred as the psychotic Dandy in “Freakshow” and doubled as Tristan and Rudolph Valentino in “Hotel.”

“I’ve talked about doing a few episodes, but nothing has been set in stone,” he added. “I think they literally keep us in the dark so we can’t spill the beans even if we wanted to. I’ve heard lots of different rumors about it, but even last year, I didn’t know about ‘Hotel’ until a few months before we started. I know that they are actively writing it right now — they are still figuring out what to do.”

While everything about the next iteration of “American Horror Story” is being kept severely under wraps, Lady Gaga, who mesmerized as The Countess last season, has been confirmed to return.

'X-Men: Apocalypse' isn't an end or a beginning : Cnet

Bryan Singer shaped the DNA of the modern comic book movie. Don't let anyone tell you different. "X-Men", released in 2000, and "X2", the 2003 sequel, became the blueprint for the "realistic" superhero. You can trace the lines directly to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy and Marvel's Cinematic Universe. It was clear Singer knew what he was doing at the helm of the X-Men franchise.

Between those two movies and the criminally underrated "Superman Returns", the dude understood superheroes. "X-Men: Apocalypse" is his latest spin behind the X-wheel. Like his return to the franchise with 2014's "Days of Future Past", Singer has set his sights on one of the most famous comic book story lines in the X-Men canon.

If you're an X-men die-hard, there's a feast of fan service for the entire two-and-a-half-hour running time. If you're not, you'll still find a few standout moments peppered throughout. The only problem is that we've had over a decade of superhero movies between "X2" and "Apocalypse", and good enough might not be good enough anymore.

Also See : Hair Transplant Abu Dhabi

That's not to say "Apocalypse" isn't entertaining. On paper, it flirts with the same problems that plagued the derided "X-Men 3: The Last Stand", but it still manages to pull together all the cameos, nods to previous films, ever-expanding cast, multiple character threads and apocalyptic stakes into something coherent. And "Apocalypse" can't be faulted for ambition. It's the biggest X-Men movie put on screen. It's all done in true comic book style, too. You dive in and keep up.

You won't get any origin stories and all the fights are big, four-colour hero pose stuff. Characters make cameo appearances just because they can. The dialogue is patchy, but you can practically see the speech bubbles. There's also a lot of time spent bridging the gap between his original movies and the rebooted "X-Men: First Class". This is Singer's X-Men again, and if there's one problem, it's that he is building his universe at the expense of this movie.

Torches are passed to a new generation of actors playing the principal X-Men. Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark to all you "Game of Thrones" fans) is the standout from the new crop as Jean Grey, the team's resident telekinetic. Evan Peters reprises his breakout role as Quicksilver, and his extended action sequence stands head and shoulders above any other fight scene in the film, even if it is just a longer version of his scene in "Days of Future Past".

The flip side of this is so many characters are crammed into "Apocalypse" that some of them are bound to get short-changed. Olivia Munn as a picture-perfect Psylocke doesn't get nearly enough screen time, and Lana Condor's Jubilee makes an appearance in her yellow trench coat and that's about it. Oscar Isaac plays Apocalypse himself, but he's just another forgettable antagonist in the modern onslaught of Big Purple Villains. (See also: Thanos, Darkseid.)

Containment recap: 'Like a Sheep Among Wolves' EW

Much like how a dead canary in a mineshaft spells certain doom for nearby miners, a dead pigeon on a barbecue spit means things are not going well in a cordon. Truly imagine what your life would have come to if you were de-feathering a dead pigeon while salivating? For most of us this nadir would arrive months, perhaps years after the downfall of society. But in the world of Containment, eating a pigeon could happen a week and a half after a wall was erected between you and a fully functioning Burger King. Desperate times come faster than we think!

This week’s episode of Containment, entitled “Like a Sheep Among Wolves,” found the show moving past the ennui and inconvenience of a quarantine and into actual survival horror mode. For anyone who’s watched The Walking Dead or played a horror video game, we know that much of the appeal of the genre lies in the scavenging and moral choices we’re forced to deal with when civilization falls away. And while Containment’s premise still feels, uh, less than convincing — would a fully functioning American society in the media age really turn a blind eye to an unprecedented viral outbreak like this? — it’s still undeniably captivating.

And dark! Like, you know a series is getting grim when it starts directly referencing Schindler’s List. On that last point, a small girl scavenging from the trash in the opening scene only to show up later as a corpse Jake had to incinerate was another indicator of how bad things have gotten inside the cordon. While the CDC (in the guise of Dr. Sabine) has focused its energies primarily on snuffing out freedom of speech, it had neglected to provide any kind of rational plan for allowing the uninfected to leave the cordon. (48-hour screening tents? Nope. Additional medical personnel? Of course not.) Worse, its policies had led to actual starvation within the fences.

Dr. Sabine kept citing her experience quashing outbreaks in Sierra Leone, but this was downtown Atlanta. At the very least you’d expect a larger committee of people overseeing things here; clearly the two-person skeleton crew of Dr. Sabine and Lex was not enough. Oh well. Now that we’re five episodes deep, it’s time to stop fretting about the premise’s credibility and start embracing the interpersonal drama. Which, as we talked about last week, is this show’s true focus.

Major Lex continued to fret about his leadership skills — stress compounded by how much he missed Jana — but his internal struggles took on a pointed urgency this week when his colleagues on the force demanded he bend the rules for one of their own who’d become trapped inside the cordon. It’s brave of Containment to address the public-endangering cronyism of the brotherhood of blue, but whereas real life police corruption leads to unjust exonerations and promotions, here it could cause WORLDWIDE PANDEMIC.

And it’s saying something that not even the threat of mass infection would stop these cops from wanting to protect a brother. Credit to Containment: That’s dark stuff. Similarly complicated from a societal standpoint was the armed gang who’d taken control of Teresa’s family’s grocery store. Last week made clear that these goons were less about stealing potato chips and more about organizing a sort of warlord zone, an idea underlined by their leader’s cool-headed pragmatism regarding the outbreak.

And while it wasn’t a shock this week to see them hijack a food drop, there was something chilling about the leader’s explanation to Jake that this was just simple capitalism. So, for those keeping score, Containment has now openly addressed media corruption, police corruption, and economic corruption. Not bad for a show about bloody noses!

Rick Grimes will die in the Walking Dead – Robert Kirkman

It’s probably reasonable to say that it was the greater part of The Strolling Deceased lovers who were disappointed/confused/felt attractive off by 12 months 6 ending, and designer John Kirkman gets that.
During a Stumbleupon AMA which was meant to be about his new display Outsider but saw him dogged with concerns about the TWD cliffhanger (which he completely expected), Kirkman talked in more detail about it.
Here are his ideas on it, stoned together from several of different solutions to questions:
I just want to indicate that a lot of what you seem to dislike about the ending are your presumptions of how year 7 will begin. The loss of life will have no effect now, etc. I guarantee you it will. You’re welcome to be frustrated with the show that broadcasted. Was it a misstep?

Executive Producer Julie Plec Reveals Nina Dobrev Will Return to "The Vampire Diaries"

Nina Dobrev said farewell to The Vampire Diaries a year ago, but apparently that's not the last you'll see of her character Elena. She ~sort of~ appeared in last night's season seven finale. You didn't actually see her, but when the mysterious villain of the vault enticed Damon with Elena's voice, that was new material that Nina had recorded just for this episode.

The producers of the show told Nina they could string together the voiceover using material from previous episodes, but they offered her the opportunity to record it in person on set.
"I reached out and said, 'We can either cobble it together from a bunch of episodes, or you can come in and see everybody and do ADR,'" executive producer Julie Plec told TV Line.

"She chose to do it in person, which was great, because it was a nice little personal Nina visit." Fans were so happy to have her back.

Even though Nina isn't a series regular anymore, she has plans to return for the series finale! "It's what she and I kind of agreed on when she decided to move on, and it's what I've got in my head," Julie continued.
"Obviously things can change throughout time, if the show goes on longer than we expect it to, or if we all collectively decide it would be fun to bring her back earlier, and she wanted to.

But in my opinion, she was very clear about what she wanted the next step in her life to be, and she's doing a great job of achieving that.

So I'm sticking with my side of the plan, which is to bring her back at the very end." The end of the show will be a truly bittersweet moment — we'll be sad, of course, to no longer have our weekly dose of vampire drama, but watching Nina play Elena one last time will be pure bliss.

‘The Originals’ Season 3 Finale to Feature the Return of Rebekah Mikaelson and Save Klaus from Marcel’s Wrath: Master Herald

More than the transformation of Marcel, played by Charles Michael Davis, into the evil who is twice as bad as Lucien, the Season 3 finale of the American supernatural drama TV series “The Originals” shall actually feature the return of Rebekah Mikaelson, played by actress Claire Holt. The 22nd and final episode of Season 3 of “The Originals” entitled “The Bloody Crown” shall be aired on The CW on May 20 and Rebekah shall return because just like Freya, played by Riley Voelkel, she promised to stand by her brothers forever.
The elder Mikaelson sister will return to rescue her brothers from Marcel’s wrath, who unleashed his ire on Klaus, played by Joseph Morgan, Elijah, played by Daniel Gillies, and Freya which he believes to be responsible for the death of Davina.

In the previous episode of “The Originals,” it was actually Freya who sacrificed Davina to be able to defeat Lucien and that move has torn the friendship between Marcel and the Mikaelsons. Marcel vowed to destroy the Mikaelsons citing that he should have known better than to trust them. Based on a set photo of the Season 3 finale episode, Rebekah shall stand between Marcel whom he used to love, and her brother Klaus, notes the Parent Herald.
The visions prompted her return Both Freya and Elijah have seen visions of Marcel killing Klaus. It so happened that their sister Rebekah also sees the same vision, which prompted her to return to New Orleans and come to the rescue of her brothers and sister.

Fans of “The Originals” are on edges since there have been reports that came out last month saying that at least three major characters would die in Season 3 of the hit show. Cami and Davina were the first two so there is a third one and they would like to know who it is going to be. While it looks like it is going to be Klaus, it seems that the bet is more on Marcel and it is likely that his death would be at the hands of Rebekah. Rebekah and Marcel have a long history of love and betrayal. Both have defied each other for their family in the past. Battling a super-Original The Christian Times describe Marcel as an angrier and more dangerous version of Lucien so he is a super-Original.

Elijah initially thought that he had already killed Marcel but little did he know that the fate the prophecy has always saved for them and the one they worked so hard to stop will soon come to pass. In a recent interview, Davis says that Marcel is not spiraling out of control but merely taking more risks and being more daring.

However, he said that Marcel is also becoming a danger to himself in some way. The actor said that fans can expect Marcel to go on a rampage in “The Originals” Season 3 finale. With the serum now flowing in his blood, it is easy to surmise that Marcel already has the Mikaelsons beaten.

Reports have it that the return of Rebekah will stun Marcel and if her argument will be convincing enough, she will be able to spare her brother Klaus from the wrath of the super-Original. It was actually Narducci who previously hinted that Season 3 shall have a devastating season conclusion and alluded of several deaths of key characters before the TV series wraps up.

Following the hints, fans have resorted to guessing game on who among “The Originals” cast members are going to be killed off. Narducci said that the TV series is going to fundamentally shift forever because every single one of “The Originals” characters will be changed for the duration of the show. He added that things are going to get bad and then there is going to be a glimmer of hope that maybe, because of the Mikaelson’s family bond, they will have a million to one shot of surviving.

‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: will Marcel’s beastly power make end of the Mikaelsons? : Newsrepublica

Emotions have been operating rich in the episodes resulting in the ending and one personality has taken the greatest hit. There is no going returning for Marcel and he is exposed to be the beast in the prediction. After getting concoction that created Lucien the monster he was, he is established to see the end of the Mikaelsons. The ending is named “The Bloody Crown” as Marcel increase to declare the throne.
Freya and Elijah have seen thoughts of the prediction wherein Marcel destroys Klaus. Rebekah also numbers in the perspective, but it is uncertain what it indicates. It would be remembered that the prediction presented in year 3’s first show declares that the three genuine ones will die. “One by buddy, one by foe, and one by family” has been the term main to the story.

The Originals: Claire Holt returns in exclusive photo : EW

Rebekah Mikaelson is the original Original sister. No offense to Freya, but it was Rebekah who vowed to stand by her brothers “always and forever” more than 1,000 years ago, and it was Rebekah we first met in a warehouse in Chicago during Vampire Diaries’ third season. And ever since that moment, Rebekah has come in and out of our lives.

She was last seen on The Originals when she had Elijah stake her in order to fulfill the “family” portion of the prophecy (while also temporarily pressing pause on the curse on her arm). But now that Marcel has taken Lucien’s serum and become the one thing capable of killing her siblings, it’s no surprise that Rebekah is back in town.

EW has an exclusive look at Rebekah’s return in the season 3 finale, which sees her as the only thing standing between Marcel, the man she once loved, and Klaus, her brother. Can she save Klaus from Marcel’s wrath? We’ll find out when The Originals airs its season finale Friday at 9 p.m. ET on The CW.

How does Rebekah return play in The Originals Season 3 Finale

Fans have known that a person from Marcel’s past will affect his decisions in The Originals Season 3 finale. It looks like the speculations that Rebekah Mikaelson would return are true, as Claire Holt is featured in the trailer.

Many fans have wondered when and how Rebekah would return. The last she was seen, Elijah stabbed her through the chest to make sure one part of the prophecy came true in a way that would suit them. Her body was then taken to an undisclosed location, although Klaus knew and later moved her to the bayou. There has always been the question of when and not if she would return to The Originals, and it appears the season finale is the time.

Nina Dobrev’s return in the vampire dairies season 8

After all, what would The Vampire Diaries series finale be without one of its main characters? Even more, a Dobrev return would certainly help in the ratings department for a show that has sputtered along over the past year. The biggest questions remaining are how the writers plan on bringing Dobrev’s character back and whether or not fans will see an onscreen reunion between Elena and her ex-boyfriend both on and offscreen — Somerhalder’s Damon Salvatore.
